M&A volume down in 2013 Q 1
During the first quarter of 2013, the volume of Mergers and Acquisitions in the Middle East went down compared to both the previous quarter and the first quarter of 2012, according to Bureau van Dijk's Zephyr report. During the quarter, a total of 93 deals were announced, for a total value of US $ 2.6 billion. The top 5 transactions by size all involved acquirers from Qatar. See the full report here.
